Where Learning
Meets Love and Faith

Mission

Bright Side Early Care and Learning Center is dedicated to partnering with families to provide high-quality personal care and early education, fostering children’s physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual development. The center aims to build a strong foundation for formal education and supports school-age children with enrichment activities, safe before-and-after-school care, school holiday programs, and summer camps.

Vision

Bright Side Early Care and Learning Center envisions a community where every child is cherished, inspired, and empowered to grow into their unique potential. Through faith-based values, exceptional care, and enriching education, we aim to nurture confident, compassionate, and curious learners who thrive in a safe and inclusive environment, building a strong foundation for a lifetime of success.

Philosophy

At Bright Side Early Care and Learning Center, we envision a nurturing community where children grow as confident, curious, and compassionate learners. Through exceptional care and education, we inspire a love of learning, foster connections, and empower every child to reach their potential. We believe God made all children special, and it is our honor to care for and educate them. Every child deserves to feel valued and loved.

Where Children
Always Shine

We opened our first center in July 2016. To fulfill the needs of our community, we opened our second center in March 2018. We are subsidy vendors through Virginia Department of Social Services, members of the Orange Chamber of Commerce, and part of Virginia’s Department of Education’s Linkb5 program.

Weekly Bible Stories &
Character Education

We share weekly Bible stories with the children. In addition to the story, we will have extension activities to support the value and moral of each story. We introduce the children to good character traits through stories, activities, and games, helping them apply these lessons in their daily lives. These teachings nurture both their hearts and minds.

Inter-generational Program

We share weekly Bible stories with the children, focusing on values and morals. Each story is paired with extension activities to reinforce its teachings. Through stories, activities, and games, we introduce good character traits, helping children apply these lessons in their daily lives while nurturing their hearts and minds.

Social-Emotional Learning

Through engaging activities and structured lessons, children learn key SEL competencies such as self-awareness, self-regulation, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. These skills not only help children navigate their emotions in a positive way but also empower them to communicate effectively, show empathy, and resolve conflicts peacefully.

Infant and Toddler Care

(6 weeks - 2 years of age)

Our infant and toddler program introduces our youngest children to early literacy activities and focuses on encouraging the children’s developmental milestones and natural need to explore the world around them. The staff respond quickly to the infant’s physical and emotional needs. This helps build a sense of trust and security. The toddlers have daily opportunities to explore creative arts, dramatic play, music and movement activities, story time, and are exposed to classical literature and American Sign Language.

Preschool Programs

(2 - 5 years of age)

Through weekly themes the children experience fun and creative learning in creative art, language arts, dramatic arts, construction, math, and science. They enjoy daily story time, music and movement, and exercise. The day is a balance of teacher and child-lead activities. Although the daily schedule for a preschooler is more structured than the toddler class, there is still flexibility to take advantage of teachable moments and to be spontaneous. The preschool classrooms focus on a letter, color, number, shape, and specific learning concepts each week.

School Age Care

(ages 5 - 12)

Children who attend local schools in Orange County have the option of attending our center before and after school. There is an Orange County bus stop at the side of our parking lot and our staff will assist your child getting on and off the bus. We have limited space for school-age children. As space allows, school-age children may attend the center during school holidays.

Summer Program

(ages 6 weeks - 5 years of age)

The Infant through Preschool Summer Program is included with the Preschool year. It consists of weekly water activities, festive seasonal activities such as picnics, parades, beach day, and carnival day.

Summer Camp

(Grades 1st - 6th)

Our Summer Camp is for grades 1st – 6th. Summer Camp consists of 12 weeks of FUN with themed weeks, field trips, creative activities, annual art and talent shows, STEM projects, and character building activities.
